Sam is a highly skilled UK-trained specialist teacher with over two decades of experience supporting children and young people with diverse needs. Having worked as both a specialist educator and senior advisor, Sam now brings together her extensive expertise in education and art psychotherapy to offer creative and experiential approaches that promote the holistic well-being and development of young people.
Throughout her career, Sam has provided invaluable support to schools, families, and local authorities. She is qualified to assess and baseline the abilities of primary and high school-aged students in both the UK and Australia, using recognised standardised tools such as the BPVS, YARC, NARA, and Digit Span Memory. This expertise enables her to develop Individual Personalised Profiles, offering targeted strategies and recommendations to enhance engagement, learning, and emotional well-being for young people.
Sam has worked collaboratively with schools and local authorities, delivering consultation, training, and tailored support for children and young people with complex needs. Her expertise spans autism, attachment disorders, psychosocial challenges, and emotional regulation. She is particularly experienced in delivering bespoke training on attachment theory and guiding educators to create inclusive environments that are trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming.
